Energy Policy, Guidelines and Practices
OSU Energy Policy
This policy was established in August 2007 to be the joint responsibility of the Board of Regents, campus administration, faculty, staff and students. Success is based on cooperation at all levels.
Guidelines are provided for individual responsibilities on campus, along with energy-saving operation of HVAC equipment, thermostats, heating equipment, lighting and water usage.

The OSU Energy Leadership Award
The OSU Energy Leadership Award is offered annually by OSU Energy Management, and recoginizes student groups and campus departments for being active partners in reducing the University’s energy expenditures through education and positive impact behaviors.

$1 Million Energy Reduction Award
This prestigious Energy Leadership Award offered is annually by OSU Energy Management, and commerates a milestone for each building that reaches $1 million in energy savings. Each building earns a coveted bronze plaque to display.
