Classroom Management
As manager of facility services, Mike Hunsucker serves as the primary representative for Oklahoma State University’s 123 general university classrooms — spaces that are not maintained or controlled by individual colleges or departments.
His contact information is placed on every lectern for any classroom concern, ranging from heating and cooling needs to missing dry-erase markers. Hunsucker coordinates with university departments and FM’s Operations and Maintenance team to resolve immediate issues, evaluate classroom usage, and prioritize improvements.
He also maintains a schedule for upgrades, from installing new whiteboards to completing full classroom renovations.
To help ensure classrooms are ready for students and instructors, Hunsucker visits each space at least three times per semester to inspect and evaluate its condition. He also works closely with Student Accessibility Services to identify and address classroom accommodations for students, faculty, and staff with disabilities.
